Perfect timing - Isn't it ironic, don't cha think?

Timing is everything - at least that's what they say.

(Who is they anyway?)

Yesterday proved to be one of those perfect timing days. You know the ones where you say or do something and have to stop and pause and contemplate what just occurred.

Last night I went to our monthly bunco get together. We are a bunch of crazy, fun-loving women who appreciate our get together time. My friend Amanda and I ended up staying until 11:30 playing Wii and basically getting our workouts in for the day. Who knew Amanda was champion boxer and I completely stunk at it. I looked like a ravaging rabies infected raccoon. I was just punching like a mad-woman with no clue as to what I was doing. There are some cell phone pictures, but they are really bad quality so you'll just have to use your imagination.

I also enjoyed being pushed in an Ikea swing which Kathy had hooked to her basement floor joist. I seriously felt like I was in a cocoon. Does this prove I need to get out more or am I just a kid at heart? I felt like I was back on the good ol' tire swing. So much fun was had! I honestly think Kathy was trying to see if I would break through the ceiling the way she was pushing me. We had quite a bit of fun if you couldn't tell.

So anyway, back to the timing issue that this post is supposed to be all about.

We were on our way home from bunco and I was driving my husband's van, which I take out only on special occasions. Therefore, I wasn't completely familiar with all the features and symbols. I thought I might have had my brights on, so I click them to see if in fact they are on. At this point we are traveling on a highway and at the same exact moment I flash my brights a cop car is driving in the opposite direction with his siren and lights flashing. Could the timing have been any worse for me to have done that? What a laugh we had.

On this particular stretch of highway my ears always pop at this one point and I mentioned out loud how my ears had just popped. Amanda agreed that hers just did the same thing. I look down at the van's radio display and what does it say? "Ear poppin' new music!" Seriously! How ironic is it that our ears literally just popped, I said it out loud, and the radio spelled it out? Wow!

It's funny how things like that happen.

And now I have Alanis Morissette's song, Ironic, stuck in my head.

(It's like raaaain on your wedding day......................)
