Yeah, this is my house at the moment.

From the looks of it, one would think someone had come and ransacked our house.

But don't be concerned, it's just the messes that my 3 children create day in and day out.

I am so tired of picking up after them, that, as a matter of fact, I have stopped.

I am going to pick up my own messes from now on, you know the kitchen and bedroom.

That's it.

These kids need to learn how to clean up after themselves and actually care about their belongings.

Who the heck am I kidding? I can't believe I am blogging right now when my house is a disaster.

I am a compulsive cleaner - there I said it. Do you know how hard it was to post these horrible messy pictures of my house? I prefer it to always look like this. But then again, I have no life.

Will this pattern ever end? Some things never change.

  1. I'm sorry...but it is great to see others with their house like that! ;)

  2. I agree with Helen....it is good to see other houses out there that look just like the way mine does right now.

Mine right now looks like a tornado went through it. Sad thing is...I've been picking up today.

  3. Oh my goodness, I am normal after all! I though I was the only one with a house that looked like that! Seriously, I'm a maniac cleaner too and I get really fussy when the house is out of order but after having my third baby something must have been rewired at delivery because I just don't get all wound up about it anymore. I know there is laundry to do, dishes to clean, floors to be mopped and yet I, too, am sitting here blogging and reading and posting and not caring about the cleaning! Good times.

  4. I love that you are HUMAN and not a cleaning robot. Oh, and that you're making your kids take some responsibility (I've heard of parents gathering up the toys in black trash bags right in front of their kids if they haven't picked up their stuff by a certain time limit...but instead of the parent throwing them away, the kids need to earn them back. Good idea, I think).

Thank you for showing us this glimpse into your life (it's probably all cleaned up by now though!). Now we can relate to you better!! :-)
